3/666 The Phantom Carriage - 1921
This is sooooo good, shall have to devote more time for the supplements, there's commentary, alternate soundtrack, a Bergman interview, he thought very highly of this film directed by Victor Sjostrom, who many years later starred in Bergman's magnificent Wild Strawberries.
Some of the 666 may not to some seem like horror, for mental health reasons i can't watch too many horrors i can't respect, like #2, but what those do however is force me to consider how i could ever go about being a critic, all my film loving life i've been an appreciator and a praiser.
But now i must nap a little, have to grab zzz's whenever the feeling comes. And shall wake to more silent cinema gold.
