To those of you who enjoy horror films

What is it about them that you enjoy? Do you actually find them scary?

I've watched plenty but I just don't seem to be able to get into them enough to find them scary or creepy.

I am interested in the paranormal. It fascinates me. Plus I like the general atmosphere of horror movies which often features night & darkness. Just fits my mood.

@SW-User As a subject of interest I certainly agree. The concept of a paranormal level to reality existing is really interesting.
