I Love Horror Movies

Ok, second in my top ten list (top ten but random order, mind you) - The Monster, 2016. The horror story involving the monster in the woods is really secondary to the unfolding through flashbacks of the relationship between the daughter and the mom (who may be the real monster in the title). While the suspense and jump scares of the monster get your tension up, the pain of the young girl and her also young and neglectful mom really is what haunts you. An intense blending of genres. I will never watch this movie again. And I say that in a good way.

OH! And another point in this movie's favor - the monster, for the missy part, is NOT CGI. It is a dude in a suit, or mechanical. Possible thru did some CGI work on it, but it is not some slick computer image. It's in the real world, and I so respect that (eg, classic Star Wars v re-release Star Wars). Ahhh ... refreshing!

I too like horror movies but once I saw a series of so called horror movies which did not give me the feeling which I really want from horror movies.

That was the last day I watched any horror movie.

My favorite and a classic supernatural horror movie is The Exorcist.

Looks like I missed a good one. I only scanned this post, because I think it might contain a spoiler.

Now I’m thoroughly invested in seeing if Evil Dead 2 makes this list at any point.
