I Love Horror Movies

So Exorcist creeped the junk out of me but really liked it. We couldn't find the original Halloween so watched the remake and hubby said it was more psychological than the first. Liked it a lot myself so now I need you find the first.

Can't sleep again so watching FridayThe 13th. I think the 70s and 80s slashers are going to be an addiction for a while.

[c=#7700B2]those late slashers are great.. shame these days people cant make good horror movies anymore and just rely on cheap jump scares and badly written plots.. "It" is the only horror I have seen at the cinema in god knows when that I actually enjoyed[/c]
@PlumBerries
Ever since "The Ring" it seems the way horror has been done has changed.
@PlumBerries I didn't like the first It very much but I think it's because it was a weird period where lots of King's stories were done cheaply and for TV. Children of the Corn was good but once the ones from the early 90s stated it got cheesy.

[c=#7700B2]the original short tv series thing of "it" was just really bad.. the new "it" in theatres now is great though..

the Japan version of the ring is so much better then the remake.. [/c]
@PlumBerries I do want to see the new one if it comes here

[c=#7700B2]it is really good. a movie that lives up to the hype.. I think a bit of people were disappointed because they thought it was going to be really scary but the movie lived up to the book and didn't try rushing both the childrens story and the adults story all into one movie.. I was afraid they would do that... cant say anything bad about the movie, I just loved it[/c]

[c=#7700B2]also if you want to see some other good horror movies I highly recommend "Ginger snaps", "The Shining", "Amityville Horror", "A werewolf in Paris"...[/c]
@PlumBerries
Actually a list does help!

[c=#7700B2]I would say some others but I don't know how gory you like movies.. plus the ones I'm thinking are banned in lots of countries, so hard to find[/c]
@PlumBerries I really enjoyed The Shining when it first came out.
Everyone was anticipating his first major release with Jack Nicholson.
