Season 8 was so bad...

if Lord of the Rings ended like season 8 everyone would have forgotten about Frodo and that ring nonsense while Gimli kills Sauron with a mad charge out of nowhere and Gandalf burns down Minas Tirith to kill Denethor

Season 8 ruined the whole show for me. It will be interesting to see if Martin changes the direction in the books assuming they are ever written.
