I remember this one American soldier telling me I will die like my pet rabbit not even screaming for help, killed by Muslims for being an apostate

I was young, early twenties I think..21 at best. I don't even remember why he said such a messed up thing to me but I assume I rejected him after friendzoning him. It was a soft rejection.

Because of how he behaved, I always been guarded against men who serve in the military..even while having military contracts myself, semi-civil. To be fair, not just because of his behavior. I have had plenty of other bad experiences long before this.

I also remember how he shared our video call with his friends when I thought we were having a private conversation. And he did it to brag.

I am really grateful that I am a difficult woman. I imagine if I trusted him more than I had , I would be replaying bigger disappointments.

"american" and "soldier", I knew exactly where this was going
Miram · 31-35, F
@LooseyGoosey I expected people to feel offended that I mentioned his job.

The thank you for your service sheeple.

Clusters of behaviors do exist among communities of practice and among cultures, no matter how uncomfortable it is to acknowledge them.

I always found it very inadequate and intellectually lazy how many , so quickly, brush those observations away simply to not appear as if they are generalizing

@LooseyGoosey Aye yup lol me too, whenever it starts with that, it is usually followed by nothing good.

@Miram oh hell no I think it’s perfectly fitting. We understood

Great instincts that you rejected that man!

@Poppies I rejected all men back then. All of them.

I'm glad you didn't trust him because worse could have happened. There's a woman who is retired military on youtube telling about how militaries act like cults, there's a lot of things that people don't see as to what is actual programming being done to people. Every army in the world conditions people similar. But she's in the United States and people don't even know the half of it.

I'm not saying he wasn't like that before, I think it's likely he partakes in news and groups that have programmed him but I think that it's very possible that people who are attracted to be in certain positions in the military have very certain personality traits that makes them more prone to being like that.

I'm just thinking that could be why you have so many similar experiences is that similar traits are shared within sub groups due to consuming the same media and being conditioned in the military to think the enemy as other, stuff like that.

I don't remember her name, I could look it up but I'm lazy lol, thecultknittinglady or something like that
The rage that can come out of men in particular when their insecurities are touched upon is, disappointingly, not even surprising anymore. I despise that kind of man. I'm by no means perfect and I've had my moments of losing clarity due to emotion but I've never gone to such dark depths as that. A good man has lines that they will not cross. They make mistakes but they are able to feel shame and they resolve to do better. There are way too many men who almost act like restraint and self appraisal are not masculine traits.

I spent 20 years in the military and I can't diasgree with you. However, the majority of soldiers, sailors and marines bring their attitudes, behaviors and beliefs with them... from home.
I vaguely remember that. You typed or maybe told me about it long time ago.
