Should I or should I not tell you if you are friends with someone who used to heart fetish content about kids?

It is trigger for me too. But my PTSD works differently. And I understand you. You don't need to see them around. I myself backdown when I know someone better is keeping an eye.

Your reply I hearted in your own thread. I am giving you context and you do as you will with it. The person was close friends with a female pedophile. So much that when the pedophile was purged and got investigated by the authorities, that guy went after me. He created multiple accounts to attack me and got warnings by SW for it.

Whether it is his fetish, I don't know. But because of that, I am keeping him as potentially a part of it.

I think it is mainly because they are personas not their authetic selves. And when you're wearing a mask, you aren't as affected by predators and the reality of their actions. Their sense of belonging is built on social validation too, even if it is as fickle as from an online community, at least a part of the reason.

@Miram You’re 100% correct on the social validation. People don’t want to point out something like that about a popular/loved user because they do not want to deal with the people who won’t believe it.
