A good movie is one that makes you want to watch it again and again just to savour the details so meticulously woven into it by the maker. This is a Taiwanese movie that I could watch many many times. Contemplative and heartfelt, it tells the story of a family and the ties that bind. The father is a driving school instructor working hard to make ends meet. His two sons are like chalk and cheese. One is a model student while the other is a delinquent. We see how characters deal with unmet expectations and as the story unfolds, how various ones perceive the events that happen in their lives. It is a story about loss and adjustment, about having the courage to move on and most of all, about parental love. It made me cry buckets.
