do you still watch old films even if they are 'dated'

i think if a film is dated it gives the film a vintage quality and more appealing, especially to me anyway. i don't like anything new and modern being put out now, i prefer old films right back to the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s..those are my era's for films/entertainment.

I've been watching the old black white Dark Shadows series for quite awhile now. At least 2 years! I watch one episode every morning and am on something like episode 743. There's over 1,300 episodes, so I have a way to go! It's my morning ritual.

@Mardrae I was in high school when that show debuted. My girlfriend was a big fan .

One day, I was listening to her and her friends talking about all these bizarre things that were happening to people who I assumed they knew. I was aghast at how glibly they were talking about it.

Finally I asked, " Who are these people? Neighbors of yours?"

They laughed when they realized what that conversation must have sounded like to me! They then explained that they were talking about Dark Shadows!
