On secrets

A couple of weeks before she left, and in a diminished mental state, my wife used her finger to call me close to her.
As I got closer she whispered.

"I've always been a little bit bi'

On the outside I was like...
It's alright honey, everybody is a little bit bi sometimes.... With that said, I touched her face, she smiled, and we continued watching Family Guy on the Tv mounted on the wall.

Inside I was like...
Whaaat??.. I never saw that coming. Not in a Thousand years.

Made me wonder.

How much do we really know about our partners. How much of their secret places can we see.

The question being...

How much of you , of who you really are, what percentage, do you keep secret from your partner. How much do you think, your SO really knows about the real you??

She died, I just don't like saying that. So I say she went away.
i tell him a lot of my deep dark secrets, more than i've ever told anyone and he does the same. first time in a long time i've had a person i could really be myself with and just open up to and it's really nice to not have to hide or have a need of a secret self.

That being said, i've always loved hearing people's deep dark secrets and i've always kept them safe, regardless of the circumstances of the acquaintanceship. it's uncouth to allow someone to trust you with their innermost thoughts and secrets and then betray it just bc you're angry or hurt. so i never have. i wouldn't want them doing it to me.😊

@DancingStarGoddess you're right. Knowing everything about you would be the perfect weapon on the hands of the wrong person. Good point!!!
