What's the dumbest thing you ever said?

I was travelling from Orlando to Germany, and had to make a connection in Washington D.C. The plane was delayed, and I was worried about making my flight to Germany and was very anxious.
When I borded, the pilot said, "...our flight to Dallas.." and I panicked. Dallas? I don't want to go to Dallas! So I walked to the back of the plane and asked the flight attendants, "Where does this plane go?" and they said Dallas, I freaked out and said, "I'm trying to go to Washington, D.C.!"
They looked at me like I was mad. I never heard Washington referred to as Dallas before. 💀👀

Yeah your story didn't make sense until I read below, as I'd be scared if they said they were going to Dallas too lol, like that's the wrong direction lol

But yeah it's the Dulles/Washington airport, because it's in Dulles, Virginia, but probably a large majority of people using it are heading to Washington DC or the greater DC area as it's very near by lol 😂

@Viper Yep! They definitely said Dulles, but because of the difference in accent, I heard Dallas. 😅

@ArminArlert They're alright, for the longest time, I thought people saying "Newark" was actually people saying "New York" with an accent lol

And they were talking about the same place...

Though in my defense, Newark, New Jersey and New York City are 12 miles apart and I lived 350+ miles from them...

So might as well been the same place lol
