It's dark, so I ought to watch some movies, right?
Here's a few of my options
Richard Linklater's Boyhood -- this is bound to be really good, I love his Before trilogy, and this is supposed to be just as good as the first 2 parts of that, I don't like Before Midnight btw.
Paul Schrader's First Reformed -- a crisis of faith film in the same vein as Ingmar Bergman's Winter Light.
Jim Jarmusch's The Dead Don't Die -- a horror flick by an auteur, sounds too good to be true, eh?
Pedro Almodovar's Tie Me Up Tie Me Down -- I've never seen this one yet, but few other directors can draw me into exotic stories.
or I could keep plugging away at Game of Thrones, that should be my main series until finished. I've only seen up to the 6th season, I know how it ended poorly, but to see it for myself will be necessary. I lived through the mania the world had for it, one of my best cyber friends was a big fan of it and helped me decide to purchase the first few seasons on DVD, same person got me onto Curb Your Enthusiasm, which amazingly is still going on I think. Both from HBO, a company I think highly enough to have as my profile pic. There's at least 20 shows I'd like to watch in their entirety, like The Leftovers, Sopranos, Oz, Deadwood, Carnivale, Six Feet Under, and I have a sneaky suspicion that Euphoria will be good too.
Weekends ought to be fun, for movies and shows, weekdays for reading for more than just a quick devotional style.
