I wanna start an asmr channel, although as a guy, I fear I wouldn't have much success

Whodunnit · M
You may be pleasantly surprised. There are a lot of people out there that appreciate a male voice and there are some very successful male ASMR channels.

It may be a slow start but you'll find your audience, or rather, with the right channel tags they will find you.

I bet that would be a success. Those ASMR videos are relaxing to watch, anti-stress it seems.

@Andromedanian Back in the 80’s someone told me that there was a cable tv channel that was nothing but videos of people’s aquariums…24 hours a day and that it was very relaxing to watch that.

@cherokeepatti haha, old school asmr. I think people have resorted to some type of videos for relaxation purposes way before asmr YouTube channels became popular, they just hadn't named it yet

@Andromedanian I didn’t have cable tv so I missed out. I did have a 30-gallon aquarium for a few years till the cat jumped on it once too many times and it finally sprung a leak. Those varieties of fish plus the colorful plants and the bubbling water filter made for relaxing watching.

I've seen plenty of guys doing those. You could if you want I think

@caPnAhab thanks for the positive words. I'll give it a try, I may post my channel here once I have some videos uploaded
