Goofy and pluto was once part of the same species but mickey mouse wanted a forever friend, a pal who will never leave his side no matter what so he kidnapped the poor person and did surgery on it. From there mickey took away most of his sentience and turned him into the pluto we know and lovem all cuz mickey didnt want the poor guy to leave his side
