would you....with me?

I apologize to all Disney haters. I know Disney is a money making machine and taking over the world or whatever but......

I love it. I just..... love it. For people with traumatic pasts its really an escape.... no judgement for your age. You can be 50 and go there and they treat you the same as a 5 year old.

My question is.... If we got married.... would you wear Mr. and Mrs. disney ears with me?

I can weed out 100% of potential matches with that one.

something like this.....

It's too expensive. I just see $1000+ going to a 3 or 5 day Disney trip to Florida, and I just shudder. And that $1000+ is just Disney park. That isn't including the hotel and plane tickets.

@twiigss agreed. BUT, I went in 2006 when I was 18, with no budget (I had made enough money in the summer and lived at home so I saved all of it), and had a blast. literally my best memory. I stayed 2 weeks. so IF someone could afford it, I recommend it 100%. because it WILL be worth the money. it was magic for me. the prices are insane though. it was just...worth it
twiigss · M
@HellsBelle What are prices down there anyway?

I can see that something like that is worth it to someone. I would absolutely love to go. But then I know it's going to probably be a ton of money, and then I look at it like, well if I go on the trip and spend that money, then at home something happens and I need that money.... and that's where my hangup is.

@twiigss agreed. I went at a time when I could fully afford it without any fear of needing the money. in 2006 when I last went, I stayed at a disney resort (the grand floridian which has the park monorail literally in the building), and it was 350 a night. if you stay off site you can save alot. I found this info for park tickets, it does get ridiculous:

1 Day Disneyland Hopper Ticket - Tier 1
$153

$159
1 Day Disneyland Hopper Ticket - Tier 2
$163

$169
1 Day Disneyland Hopper Ticket - Tier 3
$172

$179
1 Day Disneyland Hopper Ticket - Tier 4
$187

$194
1 Day Disneyland Hopper Ticket - Tier 5
$201

$209
2 Day Disneyland Hopper Ticket
$275

@HellsBelle Geez, and that's just ticket prices 😣. I can't imagine food, drink and souvenir prices. I imagine a small soda is $4.50, medium is $7.30 and large is $12.00. Eating at one of the themed restaurants at the park has got to be at least $120. I can't even guess what souvenir prices are.

Surprisingly, I can get a t-shirt from the aquarium for $20. A few other places like that as well, parks/museums etc., where you can find shirts around $20 to $22. I can easily see a Disney shirt going for $37.99. The plain shirt probably only costs around $1.90, but quick iron on the word Disney, and it's a $37.99 shirt 😧.

Actually, there are a lot of videos on Youtube of people on the different attractions, so after watching them a lot, I kind of feel like I have been there. My favorite ride is in Tomorrow Land, Carousel of Progress. I've been on that ride at least 5 times now 😂

@twiigss it truly is ridiculous. but when im finacially stable I would still go there over any other place. maybe Im naive or juvenile but its just my happy place. I only buy the turkey legs when im there lol. No shirts or anything. except I once got an engraved glass slipper.......

I cant pinpoint that ride...I dont know if I know it. I rode the aerosmith and haunted hotel ride A LOT.

@HellsBelle It's the ride that takes you through the 1900's, 30's, 50's and into modern times. Basically it's a stage, and the stage stays stationary. The seats move around the stage, going to the different time periods. It's an animatronic family. Here this one:

@twiigss I can legit say Ive never been on it. wow. Whens the last time you went? is it still there?
twiigss · M
@HellsBelle I'm sure it's still there. I've only been to it on Youtube. I've never physically been to Disneyworld, only on Youtube I have been :)
HellsBelle · 31-35, F
@twiigss well get to saving. its an amazing experience and can only be done in person
twiigss · M
@HellsBelle Yea, I have other things I have to take care of with regards to money, so that's probably something I'll never be able to do in my lifetime any way.
HellsBelle · 31-35, F
@twiigss save ten a week? and in some years you should go
twiigss · M
@HellsBelle I can't seem to save money these days, as much as I try to :(

From another job I worked at, I ended up rolling over my 401k into a 401k rollover account, well after not touching it for several years, I ended up taking half of it out, because I needed money. I'm probably going to work until I die, won't be able to retire.
