Pocahontas found a love that was meant to stay. I feel she should have ended up with John smith, not John Rolfe. But that’s the way the story goes. She returned home to her people knowing that was where she belonged after going to London. I bet she was happy to see her father and best friend nakoma again. John Smith decided to sail around the world after the king granted him this favor. Pocahontas didn’t want to sail around the world and discover new lands even though she would have been by the side of her old love John smith and adventure would await her. I feel John smith should have gone back with her to Virginia once his name was cleared. But Pocahontas fell for John Rolfe too and John Rolfe gave up his position as a royal advisor to the king’s court to be with her. Both men loved her in the Disney story. I adore the Pocahontas movies. Finding Love despite adversity is one theme of the movies.
