I Cry During Sad Movies

Shindlers list - gosh, I was completed choked throughout. The fact that it is all real made matters worse. I believe it is certainly a must see film but tissue's are to be kept to hand.

It's a beautiful film, and one that does well to show how horrible people can be, but also that there are true heroes who do good because they can. If more people had that as a default reaction imagine how much more amazing this world would be. And that's my quota reached for pseudo-deep BS for today. Hopefully.

The ending just pushed me over the edge where the actual victims paid their respects. In honesty if more people showed compassion and true empathy it would be a start though there are those who do.

@Autumn-Rayne: Oh yeah absolutely. Just needs to stretch a bit wider in a lot more people. Was a truly fantastic way to end. And I did read that Spielberg didn't take any payment for making the film as he would have considered it blood money. Guess it truly meant something to him to create too, which shows.

@UpsideOutInsideDown: I find it really touching when producers / actors go to such lengths in research and educating themselves on the truth.

@Autumn-Rayne: I imagine he grew up with the stories of what happened from his parents. I don't know his full history, but his parents were Jewish and they must have been born before the holocaust.

@UpsideOutInsideDown: Jewish or not it is an inspirational way of thinking. It's just a shame there isn't more selfless and considerate people in the world.
