I watched it the other night. It was a film I'd been wanting to see after seeing it advertised. Definitely makes you think about things

Well, it's good that you enjoyed it, but from everything I've heard about that film, it is, to put it mildly, a bit disappointing.
'Disappointment Day' - that would be a good title for it. 😂

I mean, come on! The BIG STORY is spread via a mainstream media TV meteorologist who has what looks to be the early signs of a stroke? Is Spielberg still living in the 1970's? Does he know about the existence of the internet?

I found the whole plot a bit week and unrealistic. It's also evident that Spielberg is not in tune with current culture.

good one but don't you think ending is so casually , never shown how those gadgets came with them , how they caught the master aliens , why they brought that church character , not clear about past relation between that leader of agency and that man who creating the plot of ending , not much clear for about the past connection of news anchor with hero

Seen it when it was new does not seem memorable.
