I Watch Cartoons
Last night I was bored and looking for something animated but also cute and innocent I had never seen before. When I went on Amazon Instant Video, I decided to go with "Hey There, it's Yogi Bear!"
First off, the animation is beautiful and really made me pine for those days when traditionally-animated movies were still popular and everything wasn't completely consumed by CGI. I also must say that it really did a great job taking the humor and charm of the classic cartoon and putting it in a feature-length format, although seeing as how the cartoon's original creators were the main ones behind the film's production, I suppose that helped a great deal. The movie is also a musical, if you can believe that, and I really liked some of the songs like "Ash Can Parade" and the song that plays over the opening credits. I must say, though, that there were at least one or two musical numbers in there that I thought could have been left out and it wouldn't have hampered the experience any.
By any chance, has anyone else in this category seen this particular film? If so, what were your thoughts on it? I really wouldn't mind discussing this movie with others who have seen it :)
