@Laughman Batman TAS, has really really really good reviews. And it stands out, because it was originaly drawn on a black background which gave it a really dark feeling.

If you look up lists with "best cartoons" it's often in the top 3, if not the number 1 spot.

@Laughman Yeah, it's also one of those things that when you take the time to look again, holds up to nostalgia. Like if you go and rewatch things like Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles or Thundercats, and expect the same experience today, you'll be seriously dissapointed. But the detective stories in Batman TAS, they are still there. And it's a dark series, a lot of stuff that happens in certain episodes is really horrific if you start thinking about it.

@Lostpoet You might be right... I'm deff wrong on my idea that freakazoid came first, I just looked it up. It's also an American show, Animaniacs apperently aired over there in 1993. I have no clue when it reached my sphere of TV channels that I watched.
But I still have more love for "freakazoid" and "pinky and the brain".
