[b]Lord knows, I love a tragic love story, and what could be more tragic than a vampire sla<x>yer in love with a vampire???? I found the surprising love she engendered in Spike (William the bloody) just as compelling, if not more so.[/b]
[b]Joss Whedon's awesome dialogue doesn't hurt ,either!!!!![/b]

Yeah...the one where Spike went through all kinds of hell for Buffy. You must forgive me for lack of details, but it's been several years since I've seen any of them!!!! Yes, it was romantic that Angel was in love with her, but he had a soul. Spike had nothing close to a soul, but found himself desperate for her just the same..to his own chagrin. I think that was not only romantic, but the things he was willing to subject himself to for her sake (or rather his love for her) was just soooo complelling. I loved how he protected Dawn after Buffy's supposed demise, too! He was gentle and faithful to her protection. Totally out of character, but totally awesome..and that much more meaningful, because of it!!
