In the film she's defending an ancient forest from people who want to tear it up and strip mine it. She's been raised by a wolf God and understands the Gods and spirits of the forest.

@passingby8 The only reason I didn't take revenge against this nerd is because I sped up the movie and at the end of it she could empathize with her enemies and grow from her experiences. So it wasn't entirely an insult.
