The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

It's righteous to be violent and obnoxious? I guess that explains religious behaviour.

@SW-User This is from Pulp Fiction-- it bears only a vague superficial resemblance to anything in the Bible. It is often cited as Ezekiel 25:17 but contains a whole bunch more added stuff that doesn't appear anywhere else in the Bible. It would fool some who are into pop religion but not any true student of the Bible. Try even searching for the first part of the first line in that quote across multiple versions: it doesn't exist. Go to biblehub dot net and search for "the path of the righteous man is beset" (I can't seem to link to it here)
