Hmm few women do .. i am not sure why.. i think it's more to do with that women are less good at doing things for themselves.. as in treating themselves.. we tend to do things for others not ourselves.. so we'd take the kids to the movies, we'd take a date to the movies.. but not ourselves.. I dont think there is any stigma its just we tend not to feel we deserve that luxury of a few hours of just doing nothing but watching a film.

Will there be popcorn?

I never understood the logic of going to the movies alone is sad. I went to plenty of movies alone, with friends or with a date. It's like any other activity.

i don't think it's a big deal at all...if there was a movie that I really wanted to see, if I had to, I'd go by myself...

I love going by myself, i sit away from everybody else who play with their phones and talk all thru the film

No way! I like me! I'm great company! I never talk to myself when I don't want to hear it!

I do it quite often, actually.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
No, I actually love it!!!

Its not a big deal at all.

Nope, I do it all the time.

Ok. Whenever I mention out loud that I should go to the movies, someone always says, "Alone?!?! I could never do that!"
Messy74 · 51-55, F
Usually if its a chick flick & don't want my friends to see me blurbing I'll go myself, lol
Myzery · 41-45, F
Heh, a chick flick would be something I would see alone since I don't want to tarnish my reputation. 😆

Not a big deal. I saw "A Fish Called Wanda" this way and it was awesome!
