Craziest backstory given to a fictional character?

Well I'm mostly talking about the whole "movie" thing with Jennifer Garner... like she was killed and was revived to be trained? For what purpose? Like it makes no sense to me.

and you know Elektra is all "haunted" about the death of her mother...but she isn't bothered for the fact that her father was killed in Daredevil?

She wasn't that close to him it seems xD

I don't know, that whole Daredevil/Elektra movie universe is completely a mess
