What was the last series you watched where there was a meaningful character death?

Not one to cause excitement or controversy etc.?

One that has lasting effects...that kind of thing.

@MrBrownstone: I like how Obi Wan's sacrifice made sense...even though this was back when Lucas' writing skills were..."questionable" at best.

But yeah, each of Rouge One's deaths weren't the happiest...

Yoda was an asshole...he was like "Luke...tell you something important I have to..." then he died xD
