@Meeeemzi: as you like, but I can't see how which topic makes a difference. also laptops have only been viable in the classroom for less than 20 years. I'm sure law has been around much longer than that as a profession.

@DeadCowboy: Yeah but we're living in a generation where everything runs with technology. My essays have to be written via Microsoft word which means i need a laptop... We've got to go with the time.

@Meeeemzi: when I said desktop, I meant a desktop based computer. I'm not saying don't use technology at all, just use it where it fits best. there've been studies that suggest that taking notes by hand in classes vastly improves student recall over typing. and a large phone you could use to also record and later review your lectures.
