What was the best Alien film in the franchise?

My personal favorite is Aliens, but Alien is right behind it. 3 and 4 weren't really good, but maybe someone likes it. I'm just curious and want to hear people's thoughts first hand.

Definitely the original...the clostrophobic horror is perfect...3 isnt as bad as its reputation would have people believe either
