Two great answers above mine !
1. The usual suspects.
2. 12 angry men.
3. Fargo
4. Cast away
5. Never let me go
6. Blazing saddles
7. The godfather
8. Heat
9. Fearless (Jeff Bridges)
10. Being there
All good. Not all well known. But good examples of good writing; good acting; good storytelling.

@Picklebobble: I never thought I'd cry watching a volleyball float away.

good list, I would maybe add Monte Python's Holy Grail and Leon (European's extended version of "The Professional")

Yes FairPlay !
A lot of folk don't quite get the humour of Python.
But those who do can laugh endlessly !!
I also agree with Leon. Good movie !
Another good movie with Jean Reno is 'Roseanna's grave'.
A beautiful farce with Mercedes Ruhel.
'Marcello' runs a small cafe in southern France. His wife is seriously ill and her one wish is to be buried in the same graveyard as her daughter.
Unfortunately the graveyard is filling up quickly !
So Marcello runs round the town desperately making sure that everyone does nothing stupid !!!
A wonderful movie !

Gosh there are so many . Where would I even begin to start !?

SW-User
@UnicornSparkles: Legends of the Fall. The Abyss, Schindler's List, Deep impact and sooooo many more!!!

SW-User
@DixieChick: I've been told about Schindler's List but I'm waiting for a day where I feel emotionally strong enough for that movie lol

SW-User
@UnicornSparkles: excellent movie and as atrocious as it was , it was not nearly as bad as what really happened in those days!

I haven't watched the first two but Pan's Labyrinth is so good.

Metropolis from the silent era. To see a classic example of propaganda - The Triumph of the Will. His Girl Friday for screwball comedy. The Seventh Seal for a huge art house hit. The French Connection for a great hollywood action flick. The Forbidden Zone for a wacky experience. And then try out the Iranian New Wave with A Seperation.

Lord of the Rings Extended Edition

SW-User
Why extended 🤔
RCGPruett · 26-30, M
@UnicornSparkles: Twice the epicness <3 there's a lot of really insane scenes that simply didn't make it into the theater because they weren't absolutely necessary for you to understand the story and because they would've made those movies even longer than they are already. The extended editions have like 1.5 hours of extra time per movie.

SW-User
@RCGPruett: holy crap I need to block like a half the day for that 😂

SW-User
What genre?

SW-User
@UnicornSparkles: The kite runner. It's a foreign film set in Afghanistan that won major awards. It's up there with Forest Gump.

SW-User
@Peekaboo: I've read the book so if the movie stays close to it, I'm not surprised it's good.... I bet I'd cry buckets watching it.

SW-User
@UnicornSparkles: I was impressed with the movie.

SW-User
Groundhog Day, The Frighteners, Trainspotting .

SW-User
Ugh, Trainspotting... that movie was dark. I saw they made a second one.

SW-User
I never saw the second one. I saw the first in the theater three times in four days.

SW-User
@Kindheartedguy: I think the second is either just coming out or has come out already
