Since everything is shot on HD now, visual artistry has taken a huge nosedive. It's that and "Netflix Lighting" that make many major films boring to look at. Film had its issues, but there's nothing like seeing an old Scope movie(and all the artifacts caused by anamorphic lenses) and getting that huge "I'm watching a movie" feeling.
