Yes,that movie is unusual for a "noir" movie,in that it was filmed in colour - probably to highlight the beauty of the natural surroundings of much of the movie, the lakes and forests.
@craig7 The natural surroundings were beautiful for sure.🥹

I don't usually watch "noir" movies, but I was drawn in by the name of it. I assumed it was more about Heaven.🙂

However, as I watched it, I became more and more intrigued by the story. The only other movie I have watched with such an evil woman in it was Mommie Dearest 1981.

I couldn't believe how manipulative, cold-hearted, and self-centered the woman was. Nor could I believe how, when cornered about what she had done, she readily admitted it without any remorse. It was interesting how the other females in the movie knew to be careful around the heroine. How they walked on eggshells so as not to set her off. 🤔

I was raised by a mentally ill mother, who embodied this same kind of manipulativeness, so for me it was easy to identify with the lesser female roles in the movie.🙂

It was an interesting movie, way out of the norm for me, but still, I would recommend it.👍
