Yes. One of the other kids in the neighborhood had some of them on VHS because his dad was a big fan of them. A whole group of us would be over there watching them while his parents were gone. Had to scratch those morbid curiosity itches because rotten.com wasn't a thing yet.

I'm so gonna see that.

"Making a movie out of it"?? I thought it was a movie -- or two or even three -- made back in the early 1980s. One of those x-rated VHS things Blockbuster refused to carry.

@ChipmunkErnie lol so you're right but back in the day it was more like... Supposedly clips of death happening where as now it's like an actual movie ..like a guy is supposedly the one creating the snuff films or something to that effect

I think I remember that it was people dying in Strange ways I believe.

Watched it with my buds 1980's summer. Only thing I remember of it was the eating monkey brains part.

Faces of Deathis a infamous 1978 "shockumentary" horror film, and a new reimagining is set for release onApril 10, 2026. The original 1978 movie claimed to show real death footage (mostly staged), while the 2026 remake follows a content moderator investigating scenes that recreate the original's, starring Barbie Ferreira.

The original straddled the line between shocking and silly.

@LeopoldBloom lol yea it did but it all shocked me as a kid. The trailer for the new movie looks kinda good actually. It'll make a nice summer horror flick
