I watched SINNERS last night

It was okay, but not that great. I heard so much hype about it, and was low-key disappointed..

I loved seeing all of the elements of African American culture woven into it, that was probably what saved the entire plot. It was beautiful.

My favorite part of the film was the vampire Rennick and how different he was to most of the legends.
Turning anyone he bites into essentially a twisted family hive mind, that shares in his delights and suffering equally, all to fill a void of loneliness.
Thought it was a fun and somewhat different concept

@deathfairy Yeah watching people who had no idea about Ireland before they turned, jamming and dancing like crazy to Dublin a couple mins later was great. Made Rennick feel like he had a family that loved him and his traditions again.

I know he’s the bad guy and they had no real choice but to kill him, but I felt sad seeing him die after having wandered the earth for so long

Been out exploring the world and living abroad again, then came back to help my dad and family through hard times, so it’s been a lot yk.
