I watched SINNERS last night

It was okay, but not that great. I heard so much hype about it, and was low-key disappointed..

I loved seeing all of the elements of African American culture woven into it, that was probably what saved the entire plot. It was beautiful.

I felt the same about it. I went into it knowing nothing about it, so it felt like two movies rolled into one to me. I enjoyed it more the second time around.

Maybe I will watch it again and have a change of heart. I don’t wanna be a spoiler but I rly wish they didn’t center it so much in vampires. I felt like I was watching a scene from vampire diaries and I am honestly over vampires 🥹 @PerfectionOfTheHeart

@deathfairy Oh, I get that completely. That’s why it felt like two completely different movies to me. It went down in points when it went that way. With the second viewing I was able to not be so critical and just enjoy it for what it was, which was a good film with moments of greatness.

I loved the cultures they wove into it. It was very beautifully made. With love and respect for so many different cultures. That’s what really made it for me. @PerfectionOfTheHeart

@deathfairy That scene in the club took me back to the music montage scene in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis. The connecting of different eras woven right into the different cultures. Was a work of art doing that.

Yes, that’s what I keep replaying and would love to see again. @PerfectionOfTheHeart
