I watched the mockumentary
Howard's Mill yesterday.
I hate it when I watch something I could have written better.
The biggest plot flaw:
The husband is the prime suspect in his wife's disappearance, yet, he is completely allowed to join the documentary team, who suspects him of killing her, go back multiple times onto the property and into the house and outbuildings of the place his wife disappeared, and able to question other people about disappearances.
Like...none of that makes any sense at all.
Second, the husband is supposed to be a policeman, but he doesn't use any of those connections to get answers.
Third, somehow this independent "journalist" making the documentary has the funds to hire a full diving crew to scan and explore the caves beneathe a pond, have multiple interviews with "experts" on memories, time travel, Geology and caves, none of which added anything to the series, not even red herrings. They travel to multiple states to interview people supposedly involved. Where did they get the money for all of the things they did? Lol
It would have made an excellent creepy pasta if it had just been case files and reports. As a mockumentary, it was neither creepy or thrilling. It pretty much ended with the husband deciding to wait for 10 years to see if his wife shows up alive.
🥱🥱🥱
