The Verve Pipe -- Villains Album

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire album from start to finish. This emerged in the mid-to-late 1990s, with "Photograph" and "The Freshmen" (most of you will know this one) being the only songs with substantial airtime.

I've been listening to a lot of older stuff. Pearl Jam is considered Classic now! WTH (Look at me saying late 90s is older stuff)
Anyways, if you want to give it a listen, here you be. It's the whole album playlist from YouTube. Enjoy! 😊

@nonsensiclesnail The Freshmen is actually my least favorite. 😆 Just too much saturation. But there's not a bad song among them.

Other underrated bands. The Refreshments -Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy is an excellent album throughout. Banditos is... well you know.

Catherine Wheel. Never heard of them till I saw the Waydown video on MTV. Ma Solituda from Adam and Eve LP, is a top 10 song for me.

@Levenrack I loved the refreshments and still listen to that. Albums occasionally.
But Catherine Wheel, this is new to me! They will be interesting to explore. They are quite nice!

@nonsensiclesnail Rob Dickinson is/was vocals. They broke up shortly after I found them. But yeah don't sleep on the old stuff either, even though it's a little rough around the edges, it's a interesting sound they put out. I wish they could a remaster of Ferment and Chrome. You can tell the difference between Chrome and Happy Days they stepped up their production and recording.
@Levenrack So far, Ive only made it though their albums Happy days, starting with their first.. they get better and better. Ferment I thought was good, but boring. It felt like they were stuck. They started to break through this on chrome but and found themselves on ferment. Im sure it's much more complicated than this, but from my perspective, they are growing, or grew, into something pretty fantastic.

@nonsensiclesnail Yeah agreed, if Ferment could be cleaned up a bit and not be so "Thick" sounding, it'll be more enjoyable to listen to.

My favorite on Chrome is The Nude. Happy Days is a great album all around, I got a kick out Little Muscle (wedge between my lips).
