What do you think about the closing and end of CPB and thereby PBS?

in 1967 President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Public Broadcasting Act That law guaranteed a permanent stream of government funding for educational radio and television.

To buffer PBS from the influence of political parties and commercial sponsors, the law called for the creation of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

@YoMomma This is interesting. Youtube is not curated at all - news has always been under some sort of editorial guidance - which in a sense means it was predigested for public consumption. Is that good? I would have to say, yes and no, meaning I am not sure

@YoMomma I think that I look at youtube at least once a day....if it's not music, it's an instructional video on how to repair something - or a news item....

@fun4us2b yeah it’s highly educational.. they should have award ceremonies for helpful educational content imo ☺
