"TCM Remembers” 2024…

I look for these each year and they’re always so moving.
And there’s usually at least a couple of people I didn’t realise had left us…

I didn't know many of these people passed this year. A listers like James Earl Jones make headlines but character actors, cult personalities, and behind the camera artists you don't hear so much about.
Glynis Johns was 100 years old ❤

I love that you share these. I am not the movie buff some are, but I love how well these are put together to really show you the color these people add to our lives. Very emotive. 😌

Thanks for posting again bijoux. There were several actors I was unaware had passed this year - not necessarily "big names" but others whose work I have been familiar with over the years.

TCM always does a great job with these. There's usually a few whose passing I wasn't aware of too. I appreciate you sharing these remembrances with us each December.

I didn't know Tony Todd had passed away. He can't of been that old but yeah it's sad when famous people you've grown up watching pass on love x

@AdaXI 69, in fact. Relatively young. I didn’t discover him until Candyman, but he actually had roles before he became a horror icon.

@bijouxbroussard I mostly knew him for his various roles in the Star Trek series' and the Final Destination films. Like you I won't of really known who he was until Candyman although I'd of only been about 13 when that came out.

There's a Deep Space Nine episode called 'The Visitor' where he played an older version of Jake Sisko. That's one of my favourites out of any Trek series and always leaves me with a bit of a lump in my throat at the end.

Yeah he was a little older than I actually thought he was but like you say it's still relatively young really and the last I'd heard he was due to appear in Final Destination 6 which isn't being released until the middle of next year.

I miss Richard Lewis; and I miss Kris Kristofferson, an incredible singer-songwriter who was also a Rhoades Scholar, an Army Ranger who rose to the rank of Captain, and a helicopter pilot.

Thank you for doing this once again.

I am glad to see that they include stunt people, as well as other behind-the-scenes folks.
@DrWatson I’ve always respected that they acknowledge all members in the business.
This is one thing that we can count on coming from you every year since I’ve been on here
