I have a desk in the dining room with a laptop and computer chair

That is where I sit and relax. I can see the big TV in the living room. and I can see the security cameras screen. Now when my laptop died I thought maybe I would just get a smart tv in the place of it. Because I watch movies, and other things on laptop. But I can do more on a laptop that on a smart tv. And I can get a used laptop from work for 50 bucks. So that is what I did. Laptops can do more than smart tvs.

I have a smart TV but I agree with you. I use my laptop much more. I'm currently on the hunt for a new one too. Here in Canada, I can get a refurbished one for about $150-250. So that's the route I'm going to go.

@Sapio my last two cell phones were refurbished. Lot more phone for a lot less price. The big tv is on but grandkids live with us and monopolize it. We even have a another TV in the dining room on the wall that is smaller for them. My three grown children have their own TVs in their rooms. And my grandson has a TV in his room. My laptop is my entertainment. But yes, I can see the big TV from my desk.

@Sapio is that a windows laptop or a Chromebook?

@Jonjdw currently I have a windows laptop with Windows 10 but I cannot upgrade to Windows 11 because of its age. I have been look at Chrome notebooks. They are a tad more pricey. Which do you recommend?

@Sapio I don’t know about where you live, but where I live in America the chrome books are cheaper. My mother-in-law has one and I don’t like it. So I stick with windows, which costs a little bit more.

@Jonjdw the laptop I have my eye on is a Toshiba with Windows 11. The seller wants $150 for it. I think it's a 2022 model.

@Sapio sounds good price to me. I don’t know all the specs on it and not like I’m an expert. Where are you getting it from? I get my refurbished phones from Back Market

@Jonjdw I'll be getting the Toshiba from a student if I buy it. I is in new condition and barely used. I believe they are strapped for cash. But the refurbished ones I looked at are from a store in town.
