Was watching jaws earlier. Started thinking. Why did everyone ignore ben Gardner's death ?
I know he's a background character .. but hooper told the mayor and the mayor didn't think anything of it.

The mayor wanted to see the tooth. Why didn’t they show him the bite taken out of the boat they towed in?
