What do you think is a movie's true measure of success?

I believe it's actual tickets sold as no two theaters, nor do theaters in every community, charges the same, then you have the Imax price equation. For instance, a weekend #1 could show the highest gross dollars, but have less actual tickets sold than the #3 weekend movie due to any number of factors.
