I’m not sure what either of theirs were. My dad really liked cowboy movies. My mom liked Filipino comedies.

There's a Gary Cooper/Walter Brennan movie from long ago called The Westerner. Your dad probably saw that. It's not your average western - Cooper was never more "Cooperish" and Brennan was at his best.
