My mother liked Chaplin's Modern Times while my dad liked Singin' in the Rain.

I'm from that era and often wondered who was not in the movie (like Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Jackie Gleason, Stan Laurel, etc).

@SW-User I was just thinking about Bob Hope just now, that’s funny. As much as I love the cast we got for the movie- I think that would be an all star cast. Lucille Ball would probably take Ethel Mermen’s role.

Ever watch Carol Burnett reruns? Harvey Korman plays a similar character named Mrs Marcus in a long-running skit called As The Stomach Turns.
