@NativePortlander1970 i loved that movie. i was supposed to see it in a theatre but for some reason i got grounded by my mom. so my brother and his friend went without me. so i decided to walk a few miles to the police station to protest my grounding and report my mom...when i got there i decided to turn around and realize what a little shit i was...true story.
@beermeplease Um, since it was rated R your brother and friend had to be at least 18 to let you in with them, at least that's the rule here in the US, since it was released in 1981 you would have been 10. However I got to see it with my then best friend in October 1981 when it saturday night premiered on HBO, I was staying overnight to help him with the sunday papers early the next morning, which soon became a weekly ritual, he'd pay me $5, and eat pizza while watching an HBO saturdag night premiere, both of my older brothers were pissed I got to watch rated R movies every weekend LOL

The funniest part if that scene was when Bill Murray said, We're all Americans", when many of the actors in that scene are/were Canadian.
@NativePortlander1970 it probably wasn't restricted up here...or when i lived in ontario at the time. my brother would have been around 13 or 14. i did get to see it when we got super channel, but i loved that movie...i loved most movies in the 80s...including night shift....so many good ones.
