What this kid doesn't say and the point of the whole clip, is society as a whole manipulates! The kid himself is manipulating the conversation! That's a societal thing!
Change the social structure first! Government is based on the society!
You can't change the government without changing the society first!
And yes that most especially includes religion! Religion controls the society, which controls the government!
So what do you see in certain parties? They attempted to do exactly what that kid did! Block out what anyone has to say no matter the methods!

@Fairydust But is the world really falling to pieces? Because the 'world' has endured much worse in the past. I think the big difference now is the internet. And how it's being used to manipulate. And because fear and grievance is such an enormous driver for so many that's the currency being used. At least in most Western nations. But the West isn't the world.
Climate change is impacting the world. Other than that it's business as usual for humanity overall. Things like corruption, wealth disparity, poverty, wars and disease have always been present. And while there's some wanting to move forward and make life better there's others committed to moving backwards, or controlling, and making things worse. And it will continue to be that way.
