tired of the same topic

I just saw a trailer with Anthony Hopkins called "ONE LIFE"
Which is about another hero who saved Jews during the Holocaust. And honestly I realized that I'm sick of seeing movies relating to the Holocaust all the time. Why cant we get more representation and awareness of other type of people or events from genocides in cinema? There are so many horrible occurrences that have happened throughout human history. Why does it have to be about this certain event over everything else. I want something else I want other stories to be given a chance on the big screen.

A lot of western country after WW2 is based on this attrocity.
And in 2023, I have the impression that a lot of citizens don't really get what or how these things happen.

Also... The holocaust isn't just one story. There have been millions of people that are affected, there are a lot of diffrent stories inside the same broad toppic.

@Kwek00 yes but there are many other genocides that deserve to be given light thru cinema just as much. The Holocaust is not any more important, than any other one but it dominates the big screen hell even in general. The general population needs to know about others. And most young people are taught it in schools all across the country several times over the course of our 12 years in Public education

@MrWarfare94 It's more that the Holocaust and WW2 are just really important in contemporary thinking.
You have a bunch of movies that deal with othe attrocities though.
Like...:

Hotel Rwanda (2004)
Shooting Dogs (2005)
Shake Hands with the Devil (2007)
Kinyarwanda (2011)

The Killing Fields (1984)

Katyn (2007)

Ararat (2002)

Where the Spirits live (1998)

... once you start looking, You'll see that other subjects have been covered. I actually own some of these movies.
And then there is: "The Act of Killing" (2012) which is more of a documentary.

And right now, there is a movie called: Four Daughters / Les filles d'Olfa (2023) that is making waves.
