Movie of the month

This new Polish movie Johnny turns "well-worn character types and scenarios into a touching tale of forgiveness". Its animating spirit of grace (yes, the kind of grace even Mother Teresa would be jealous of) is enough to cover any multitude of faults, and "the uncommonly inspired direction gives it an additional lift". A more than decent movie by a director twenty years my junior, Daniel Jaroszek. I'm jealous enough right now of Jaroszek's artistic creative power to say the very same to him as John Ford once told Howards Hawks
