It’s curious how few Americans are in American films these days.

They’re all Canadians, Brits and Aussies. Can’t Americans act anymore?

It's a good point. And it's valid. Not sure it has much to do with American actors not being able to act. But it does speak to the Hollywood blockbuster mentality. With the focus there, it's opened the door to more mid-budget projects being produced by Europeans and they tend to use mixed casts. And video auditions have sort of erased the geographical confines that used to exist. There's also different acting styles taught and a lot of the projects now, especially through streaming platforms that lend themselves more to classically trained actors. We don't do that as much in the U.S. At least, that was how it was explained to me when I asked a friend in the business. She actually there was some kind of report done on it. It's a real thing. It's just a much deeper pool now than it was in the past.
