My best in between Christmas and New Year movie

It's by the far one of the best movies ever created and it should be more known today, but it isn't and perhaps it's because of the amoral main character or rather its ending. This morning I know how it feels like to be Rollo 'Holly' Martins, an English writer of cheap Westerns. Me too, I know what it feels like to be left there standing aside but still morally decent. God does has a really good sense of humour. Right now I'd wish that I was Trevor Howard's character Major Calloway. Part of a system that does perhaps undo all apparent liberity but protects the participant totally nevertheless. Yes, The Third Man is a moral tale for the modern human being. Better stay lucid and study hard, because otherwise you'll end up like Holly, smoking his cig alone far away from home [media=https://youtu.be/l64JIcG-O-k]

@therighttothink50 I need to review that one. That's a nice one too. Forgot about it. Thank you

That's a war on the home front essential.

It goes With Since You Went Away, The Best Years of Our Lives and Pride Of The Marines.

All top shelf four star films which touch the heart.

Also Til the end of time with Robert Mitchum, just a bit below the other three.@val70

@therighttothink50 Yes, but the first one you mentioned reminded me of something I once thought someone I loved was. At times we don't know what people who served sacrificed for us. That really makes me cry now

@therighttothink50 I've always liked Mitchum. Not as being attractive but as someone real. Love his mean characters. He played a nice mean guy

Sorry to make you cry.

Sadly people don't remember the sacrifices made by the men and women in the wars.

I value my freedom and highly respect those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

People take it for granted and are letting it all easily slip away today.

I am on old film buff. own thousands of films pre 1950, would be glad to recommend many, message me anytime.@val70

He was down to earth and never watched any of his films. Cape Fear was probably his best film.@val70

@therighttothink50 Sure, and thank you. Just been one terrible week. Began with confusion and ended with that too. Luckily I don't get entirely crazy
