Just watched Eternal Sunshine and now I feel utterly depressed.

I was like damn she's a bitch and at first when he was trying to cling to his memories of Clementine I was thinking "Why?" When he was failing to hold onto the memories I was thinking "good, she'll be gone soon buddy".

He was a bit of a disapproving dick but it is hard to sympathise with Clementine when she wrecked his car, called him a worm and said she was going to cheat on him before erasing her memory of him...

Eventually I was routing for him to hold onto his memories after it showed more of him being a dick and some nice memories they have together which became frustrating because I was asking myself if the entire film is just Jim Carrey having his memories erased so I skipped ahead to when they took the helmet off.

Somehow they found each other again but then they got the tapes of the reasons they left eachother and the amount of depressing shit they thought of each other bummed me out.

I guess the moral of the story is there's good times and bad times but you can't erase the past.. just makes me think when I am going through bad times I should acknowledge it and tell the person who is bugging me "there are good times and bad times, this is one of the bad ones so lets not make it worse then have to regret it later"

In a nut shell: Eternal Sunshine is the most sad and depressing Jim Carrey movie I have ever watched.
